Cardiovascular Disease

Dr. Aref Amro is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology Endovascular Medicine and Vascular Ultrasound Reading. With specialties in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Disease, Dr. Amro is the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Doctors Hospital. Dr. Amro received his medical degree from Damascus University in Syria, completed his Internal Medicine residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan and finished his Interventional Fellowship Training at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in New Hampshire. He also completed an extra year of coronary and peripheral training in Louisiana. Dr. Amro received the Trainee Investigator Award for Excellence in Scientific Research early in his career and continues to dedicate his time to research.
